Putting Tip
Good putting starts from the tee
To improve your putting always think about where you want to be putting from when making your approach into greens.
When the greens are fast you rarely want to leave yourself a slick downhill putt, even a 2 or 3 foot putt from the high side can result in a three putt when the missed putt rolls out well past the cup. Not only try to leave yourself a level or slightly uphill putt but also think of which type of break best suits your putting.
Most right-handed putters prefer leaving themselves a straight or right to left breaking putt. Good driving strategy to the left, middle or right side of a fairway will optimize the best angle of attack into the green for a given flag location. Therefore, knowing the hole location and general slope of the green is important even before teeing off.
