Practice impact

A great way to improve your ballstriking is to practice your impact position. Mimicking the correct impact position gives you feedback which can eliminate errors in how you arrive at impact. The keys to a correct impact position begin with proper posture, grip and alignment at address.

From the address position simply move into the impact position without swinging by moving your weight to the left side (right-hand player), straightening the left leg, and moving your hands and right knee forward about 4 to 6 inches.

Also move from impact backwards to the top of the swing and back down with direct movement and without compensations i.e., excessive rolling open and closing of the wrists to try to square the club into impact.
