PGA Pro   Playing Tip

Wolf

Wolf is a 4 man strategy game where basically each hole is either a two man team game or a 3 against one situation. Points are awarded for winning a hole.

First decide an order of play 1-4. Rotate this order throughout the first 16 holes so each player is the wolf 4 times.

The player teeing off first on his designated hole is the wolf. After he plays he will watch each of the other players tee off and decide if he would like them as his partner. If he would like to choose a player as his partner he must do so before the next player tees off.

If no other player hits a satisfactory shot the wolf may opt to play alone. If the wolf himself hits a bad shot the others may deny having him as a partner.

For a team win each player gets a point, if a wolf wins playing by himself he wins 3 points or losing he pays out one point to each player.

After 16 holes the player with the least points is designated the wolf. He may assign a value up to 5 of the 17th hole. Same procedure for the 18th hole.

A variation on wolf is Lone Wolf where the wolf can announce after he tees off that he will play alone. Point values are then tripled.

In Big Bad Wolf the wolf can announce he will play alone even before he tees off and point values are then quadrupled.
